At an ecotourist level, Lake Sandoval is considered the most beautiful of the Peruvian jungle. This lake occupies an area of 3 km long by 1 km wide and its depth varies between half a meter and three meters. The shape of the lake is that of a crescent and its waters are, in general, at 26 ° C.

Lake Sandoval not only stands out for its beauty, but also for the diversity of fish that it presents in its waters. Due to the rich flora found in its waters, Lago Sandoval stands out not only for the quantity, but also for the size of the fish it has, among which you can find paiches of up to 200 Kg.

Sandoval Lake is also attractive for those who like bird watching, because thanks to the vegetation it has in its mangroves and surroundings, that is the habitat of a population of more than a thousand species of birds, including migrants and residents, many of which are under threat. One of the most interesting species in the set is the Hoatzín.
